Future member of Bosnia’s tripartite Presidency, Zeljka Cvijanovic, took an oath at the constitutive session of the National Assembly of Bosnia’s Republika Srpska (RS) entity on Tuesday.
Cvijanovic, as well as the other two future BiH Presidency members, Denis Becirovic and Zeljko Komsic, will be inaugurated on Thursday.
“I would like to thank everyone who attended this great event today, I would like to thank those who contributed to the RS going through all these crises in a stable, responsible way all these years, not because we caused them, but because that they were caused on a global level, but they required intervention, dedicated work and responsibility of all our institutions”, said Cvijanovic.
Cvijanovic said that her responsibility will be to follow the position of RS institutions as the new BiH Presidency member from the RS.
“I intend to, through close cooperation with the president of the RS, our assembly, the government, continue to cooperate and define what are the main goals and guidelines of our future policy, taking into account the interests of the RS, taking into account its constitutional competences,” she said, adding that she is willing to cooperate with everyone at the state level, provided they respect the Constitution.
